Yea, we probally are gonna be like the dinosours. The way things are going, I say we have maybe 75 years left. Pollution, population, Government, economy, Natural Resources. With a rapid population growth, everything I stated is gonna go down hill. The way people are in the world is gonna f*** everything up. To many people around the world just don’t care. It’s deppressing, very deppressing.

You are probably right. We are like ants, milling about on a motorway. We have no concept of the cars whizzing by, what they are, or what they mean. But, sooner or later we take a step too far and – pop! – squished.

Personally I think we are doomed to wipe ourselves out long before nature gets around to removing humanity from the Earth and giving the next species a chance. Somehow, I don’t think we are really destined to leave this place and seed other worlds. I don’t think we’ll last that long, or ever organise ourselves quite that philanthropically.

I just rather hope I’ll miss the actual event, whatever it may be.

Some claim that a similar gamma burst has already hit Earth in the past, causing the Ordovician–Silurian extinction. If WR 104 doesn’t kill us, there’s always the Apophis asteroid in 2029 or 2036. I have no doubt that we will be wiped clean from the face of the Earth by some type of cosmic catastrophe. Hasn’t there been like 5 extinction events already? We will all go the way of the dinosaurs sooner or later.
