I’m not picking up words…

My only complaint against The Dark Knight was that Bale’s bat-voice is utterly ridiculous (it was palatable in Batman Begins). I’m glad I’m not the only person who often struggled to understand what the hell Bale’s lines were.

Also, I don’t know whether it was just the print my local cinema had, but I found that quite often the music drowned out much speech, especially low, bassy voices and most notably Gordon’s speech at the end – in which I still have no idea what he said.

The Bat should be dark and ominous, but ideally also use words 🙂

HAHAHAH!! I’m so glad someone else out there thinks that too! I think it’s the most annoying, nerve-grating voice I’ve ever seen a character put on, so I rechecked the first Batman and you’re right! It wasn’t half as bad.
    Gotta love the Joker though….

There was only one line in BB where his voice was bad – the one where Batman reveals his idea to Rachael (or whatever her forgettable character’s name was), where he sounded nasal and dweeby. I was expecting him to adjust his glasses or something.
